OUR STORY
The benefits of honey have been recognized since the time of the Egyptians and Greeks. It is well known that local honey can provide relief from many allergies that arise in the Spring and throughout the year.
The amount of honey that one should take daily is disputed but most agree that a tablespoon of local honey can relieve the symptoms of pollen related allergies. Would it not be great, not to take any more pills to try to stop that runny nose and tearing eyes? If you include local honey in your daily diet throughout the year, you may not have to worry about those teary eyes or sneezes again. To get the most benefit you need to begin taking the honey one month before you normally have allergy problems.
Diabetic patients are recommended to increase their intake of vitamins and nutrients like B1, B6, B12, C and E as well as Biotin. Unfiltered honey is a good source of all of these vitamins and minerals. An important fact is that honey contains vitamins and nutrients that sugar does not, for digestion. Consumption of limited amounts of honey is believed to help control Diabetes, however, it is important to consult a doctor before adopting this practice.
It is imperative when purchasing honey for Diabetes or allergies, that it is raw honey direct from the hives. Using honey that has been altered by starch, glucose, sugar or heating will be of no benefit.
